Our History
| 1965 |
Founded in Defiance, Ohio by C. William Schlosser, producing three sizes of torque wrenches. |
| 1966 |
Moved to Colorado Springs and a new, 7,500-square foot manufacturing facility. |
| 1967 |
Started producing and shipping screwdrivers, punches, and chisels. |
| 1968 |
Began production of adjustable wrenches. |
| 1969 |
Began production of slip joint and solid joint pliers. |
| 1977 |
Added plastic-handle wood chisel line with blades forged and
precision ground in-house. |
| 1981 |
Acquired by Emerson Electric. |
| 1991 |
Introduced a professional screwdriver line, flush rivet slip and tongue and groove pliers design, and new pliers process. |
| 1994 |
Purchased new 31,000 sq. ft. building, professional pliers line introduced. |
| 1998 |
Expanded customer base including major home improvement retailers, industrial accounts. |
| 2000 |
Relocated screwdriver manufacturing to new facility in Murphy, NC. |

Introduced new professional pliers, screwdrivers, and adjustable wrenches targeting trade professionals and auto mechanics. |
