Medical
Western Forge offers medical benefits through a self-funded medical health plan, maintained by MW Universal, Inc. Our plan utilizes the Cofinity PPO network.
- Full-time employees and their qualifying family members/dependants are eligible for medical benefits on the first of the month following 90 days of continuous full-time employment.
- Premium rates are competitive with the surrounding market.
Dental
Western Forge offers dental benefits through Delta Dental.

Group Term Life Insurance
Western Forge offers group term life insurance to all full-time employees through Guardian. Coverage is dependent upon the employees’ classification (hourly or salary) and is paid completely by MW Universal, Inc.
- Full-time employees are eligible for life insurance benefits on the first of the month following 90 days of continuous full time employment.
- This insurance is portable in the event employment is terminated.
Additional Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment
This benefit is optional for all employees through Guardian, at the employee’s expense.

Disability Benefits
Western Forge offers Short- and Long-term disability benefits to all employees through Guardian.
- Full-time employees are eligible for disability benefits on the first of the month following 90 days of continuous full time employment.
- Premium rates do apply for hourly employees.
- Disability benefits and applicable premiums are competitive with surrounding markets.
401K Savings Plan
Western Forge offers a competitive 401K Savings Plan through Finlan Asset Management.
- Western Forge contributes $0.50 for each standard hour worked each calendar year, up to 2080 hours, as well as matches up to 8% of the employee’s contribution at the rate of 50%.
- Employees may contribute up to $15,500.00 per year.
- Employees are automatically enrolled in this plan (contributing 3%) the first of the quarter after three months of continuous employment, unless elected otherwise. All contributions are made through payroll deductions.
- Various investment options are available.
Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)
Western Forge offers a comprehensive and confidential EAP to all employees immediately upon date of hire.
The plan provides employees and their immediate family members with counseling related to a variety of issues, including but not limited to, drug/alcohol abuse, financial planning, financial difficulties, pre-retirement planning, parenting issues, divorce, etc.
Paid Vacation Leave
Western Forge offers all full-time employees paid vacation leave.
- All full-time employees accrue 40 hours (1 week) of vacation upon successful completion of 6 months of continuous employment.
- Accrual rates and anniversary dates thereafter, are dependent on years of service and classification.
- Employees are eligible to carry 80 hours over each year.
Paid Holiday Leave
Western Forge offers 10 paid holidays per year, including: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and 2 floater holidays designated by Western Forge.
